| Smiles make all the difference. |
I was walking around the mall (Great Mall[not so great]) practicing my "street" photography with my buddy Andre. All day I was getting weird looks for taking their photos, but then we went around the food court and saw this guy at Great Khan's. I took his picture twice before he noticed me. The third time he threw up his thumb and gave me a gigantic smile. All of the sudden I felt different; I felt satisfied.
I began to try it; smiling. Smiling when you're thanking someone, when you're greeting someone, or even apologizing for bumping into them. That smile could have made their day, it could have been something they needed to get through another moment in their lives. So now, I constantly smile. When I'm in a bad mood, smile. Stressed out? Smile. Sorrowful? Smile. Hateful? Smile. Happy? Smile. Smiling changes yourself and others, something we so easily forsake. Granted, I didn't know this man in the photo, but the simplest gesture, a thumbs up and a genuine smile made all the difference in the world.
Smile more often.
