Today is the day of Confirmation.

Today is when those who are confirmed, complete their baptism with God and having the Holy Spirit confirm the (free) gifts that God gives them. By being anointed with oil, they are christened "sweet and serviceable, and far from contemptible" these gifts prepare them for a life of spiritual warfare; it might be today, tomorrow, or years from now but regardless, they have the necessities to fight the war ahead of them.
